DESCRIPTION:Direct from the award-winning Wiltshire Museum in Devizes\, England\, renowned British archeologist David Dawson will make a rare North American appearance and deliver a fascinating morning lecture on August 16th only at Union Station Kansas City in conjunction with the current STONEHENGE exhibition.\n\n\n\nGuests will be invited to travel back in time - more than 5\,000 years -  and discover remarkable stories of the prehistoric people who lived\, worked and were buried in the landscape around Stonehenge.  As well\, Dawson will present the latest science that's unraveled ancient mysteries of this enigmatic World Heritage Site.  \n\n\n\nThis one-hour presentation begins promptly at 10:00 am in Union Station's spacious Regnier Extreme Screen Theatre and is FREE with the purchase of a full-priced exhibition ticket to Stonehenge: Ancient Mysteries & Modern Discoveries.  \n\n\n\nImmediately following the lecture and Q&A session\, guests may head directly into the exhibition\, or as an add-on option\, enjoy an authentic English Fish and Chips meal at Harvey's restaurant located in historic Union Station.  ($12 tax-included meal option includes tea\, coffee or soda)  Limited lecture tickets available.  Advance purchases to Lecture/Exhibition and optional lunch are highly encouraged.\n\n\n\nAbout David Dawson:  David has been Director of the Wiltshire Museum since 2008 and is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and an Associate of the Museums Association. He holds a BA in Archaeology from Durham University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Museum Studies from Leicester. He has worked as a field archaeologist on a number of important excavations in the UK\, France and Italy\, which included several seasons as a Site Supervisor for English Heritage.  In addition he has represented the UK on a number of international expert panels and was Chair of the UK UNESCO Memory of the World Program.  Dawson is a dynamic presenter and acclaimed expert on Stonehenge and its ancient mysteries.
