DESCRIPTION:Come help us celebrate the 243rd Birthday of the United States Army on Saturday\, 6 pm\, June 9\, at the KC Marriott-Downtown - Muehlebach Tower (200 W. 12th St\, Kansas City\, MO).\n\n \n\nThe program includes honors and recognition\; showcases military traditions and customs\; recognizes community VIP and community partners\; and a celebration of the Armistice Day Centennial. \n\n \n\nOur keynote speaker for the evening is Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Perry Wiggins\, former commanding general of the U.S. Army North (5th Army) and senior commander of Fort Sam Houston.\n\n\n\nLt. Gen. (Ret.) Wiggins is currently the executive director of the Kansas Governor's Military Council after retiring from the Army with 33 years of service.\n\n\n\nAlso invited is Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer to present a state proclamation honoring the United States Army.\n\n\n\nThis event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!
